Terms of Use — Persona

Persona is an AI photoshoot app: you upload a couple of photos of yourself and we generate stylized portraits of you. By downloading, accessing, or using Persona, you agree to these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Plain-language summary. Only upload photos of yourself. You must be 18+. Don't use Persona to impersonate others, make images of other people without consent, or create illegal, sexual, or harmful content. Generated images are AI creations, not real photographs. Subscriptions and credit packs are billed through your Apple Account.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Persona. By using the app you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

2. Your photos and your content

Only your own face. You may upload only photographs of yourself. You must not upload photos of any other person, including public figures, friends, family, or minors.
You have the rights. You represent that you own or have all necessary rights and consents to the photos you upload, and that uploading them and generating images from them does not violate anyone's rights.
Licence to operate the service. You grant Persona a limited licence to process the photos you upload solely to generate your portraits and operate the app, as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not claim ownership of your photos.

3. Acceptable use

You agree that you will not use Persona to:

impersonate any person or misrepresent your identity or affiliation;
create images of, or that depict, any person other than yourself, or any minor;
produce sexual, pornographic, nude, hateful, harassing, defamatory, deceptive ("deepfake"), violent, or otherwise unlawful or objectionable content;
violate any law or the rights (including publicity, privacy, and intellectual-property rights) of any person;
attempt to bypass, probe, or interfere with the app's security, safety filters, or infrastructure.

We may remove content, and suspend or terminate your access, for any violation of these Terms, with or without notice.

4. AI generation and third-party AI services

Persona uses artificial intelligence to generate images. The generation itself is carried out by third-party AI services — currently OpenAI (GPT Image) and Google (Gemini). To create your portraits, the face photos you upload are sent to these services for processing. Persona asks for your permission in the app before your photos are sent, and you may decline. What data is shared, who it goes to, and the protections that apply are described in our Privacy Policy.

Outputs are computer-generated stylizations, not real photographs, and may be inaccurate, unexpected, or vary in quality. You are responsible for how you use any image you generate, download, or share.

5. Credits, subscriptions, and billing

Persona offers a subscription ("Persona Pro") and one-time consumable credit packs. Each generation uses one credit.
Purchases are processed by Apple through your Apple Account. Subscriptions auto-renew until canceled; your Apple Account is charged at confirmation and again at each renewal unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device's Settings. Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store terms; we do not separately process refunds.
Free credits, where offered, are limited, non-transferable, and have no cash value.

6. Intellectual property

The app, its software, branding, and design are owned by Persona and its licensors. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, you may use images you generate of yourself for your personal purposes.

7. Disclaimers

Persona is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated images will meet your expectations.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Persona and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the app.

9. Termination

You may stop using Persona at any time and delete your account in the app. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the service.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, by notice in the app. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
