Persona

Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 15, 2026 · Last updated: June 24, 2026

Persona is an AI photoshoot app. You upload a couple of photos of yourself, and we generate stylized portraits of you. This policy explains what we collect, how your photos are handled, who we share data with, and how to delete everything. We tried to keep it plain.

The short version. We use the selfies you upload only to generate your portraits, and we delete them from our servers the moment your portraits are created — we don't keep your selfies. Your portraits are created by third-party AI services (OpenAI and Google); we ask your permission in the app before sending your photos to them, we never send your name or email, and they may not use your photos to train their models. Your finished portraits are saved on your device, not ours; our copy is deleted as soon as your device has it. We sign you in with Apple, never see your password, and never sell your data. You can delete your account and data at any time from inside the app, or by emailing us.

1. Who we are

Persona ("Persona", "we", "us", or "our") is the operator of the Persona iOS application and the service available through it (the "App"). If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact us at officialpersona.ai@gmail.com.

2. Information we collect

Account information (Sign in with Apple)

You sign in with Apple. Depending on what you choose to share with Apple, we receive a unique Apple account identifier and, optionally, your name and email address. If you use Apple's "Hide My Email" feature, we only ever see a relay address. We never receive or store your Apple password. This information is held in our identity provider (Amazon Cognito) and is used to create and secure your account.

Photos you upload

To generate a photoshoot, you upload photos of your face (typically a front and a side photo). These photos are the core input to the App. We use them once, to create your portraits, and then delete them from our servers immediately — we do not retain your uploaded selfies. We use automated face detection to confirm an uploaded image actually contains a face before we attempt a generation. We do not create, use, or store a faceprint, face template, or other biometric identifier from your photos, and we do not use your photos to recognize you in other images.

Generated images

Your finished AI portraits are saved on your device, inside the App. We keep a copy on our servers only briefly — long enough to deliver it to your device and to show the blurred preview behind the subscription paywall — and then delete it (within 24 hours at most). Because your portraits live on your device, deleting the App removes them. You can also export any portrait to your photo library from the result screen.

Subscription & purchase information

Persona offers auto-renewable subscriptions. Purchases are processed by Apple and managed through RevenueCat, our subscription infrastructure provider. We receive your subscription status (for example: active, expired, renewal date, and which plan) so we can grant your monthly credits and unlock your results. We do not receive or store your credit card number or full payment details — Apple handles payment.

Service & usage data

Anonymous (signed-out) use

You can create one free generation before signing in. For this, the App generates a random anonymous identifier on your device so we can track that single free credit and your result. It is not tied to your name or email. If you later sign in, you can link that anonymous activity (your free credit and generation history) to your new account; afterward the standalone anonymous record is removed.

What we do not collect

We do not collect your contacts, location, health data, or browsing history, and we do not use advertising identifiers or third-party tracking SDKs to track you across other apps or websites.

3. How your photos are processed by AI (third-party AI services)

Persona does not generate images on its own — the actual portrait generation is performed by third-party artificial-intelligence services. To create your portraits, the face photos you upload, together with a curated style-reference image and a generic, server-defined prompt, are sent to these AI providers:

What is sent: only the face photos you upload and a style-reference image. We do not send your name, email address, Apple ID, or account identifier — the images these providers receive are not linked to your identity.

We ask your permission first. Before your photos are ever sent to these AI services, Persona shows you an in-app notice that identifies these providers and the data being sent, and asks for your consent. You can decline — if you do, your photos are not sent and the AI generation features are not used.

Equivalent protection. We use these providers only through their developer/API services, under terms that require them to protect your data to a standard at least equivalent to this Privacy Policy. Under those terms, your photos are used solely to generate your result, are not used to train their AI models, and are not retained by the provider beyond the short period needed to return your generated image.

4. How we use your information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your photos to train our own models.

5. Who we share information with

We share data only with service providers that help us run the App, and only as needed:

ProviderPurposeWhat they receive
Apple (Sign in with Apple, App Store)Authentication & payment processingAuthentication tokens; payment details (handled entirely by Apple)
Amazon Web Services (US)Cloud hosting, storage, identity, and image processingYour account data, uploaded photos, and generated images
RevenueCatSubscription managementYour account identifier and subscription status/events
OpenAI and/or GoogleAI image generationYour uploaded photos and a style-reference image (no name, email, or account ID)

We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the service. If Persona is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

6. How long we keep your data

7. Your choices and rights

You can, at any time:

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the EU/UK GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and to object to certain processing. We honor these requests regardless of where you live — just contact us. We do not sell or "share" personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA.

8. Deleting your account

You can permanently delete your account directly in the App: go to Settings → Delete Account. This immediately removes your profile, credit history, generation records, and your sign-in identity (name and email) from our systems. Any uploaded photos and generated images that have not already expired are removed under the retention schedule above. You can also request deletion by emailing officialpersona.ai@gmail.com. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Note that deleting your account does not cancel an active Apple subscription — manage that in your Apple ID settings.

9. Security

We protect your information using industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit, access controls, and storage with a reputable cloud provider (AWS). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to safeguard your data and limit who can access it.

10. Children's privacy

Persona is not directed to children and is intended for users 13 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. International users & data location

Persona is operated from, and stores data in, the United States (AWS US West region). If you use the App from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your country.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide notice within the App. Your continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
